Grace Groups (Small Groups)

In our modern, information saturated age, simply absorbing Biblical truth is not enough to fulfill the vision of Christ for his disciples. Being a disciple means following the instructions of a teacher (in othe words, OBEDIENCE).

Matthew 28:18-20

“And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

The purpose of Small Groups at Grace Church is

to make obedient, reproducing followers of Christ.

Notice that, according to Jesus, making disciples means “teaching them to observe” all that He commanded them. In other words, Jesus expects obedience.

Making smarter Christians is not the goal. We’re trying to make obedient followers of Christ.

1 Timothy 1:5

But the goal of our instruction is love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.”

Love-saturated-obedience is hard. But thankfully God has given us the gift of Christian community to be the environment in which grace is found that encourages us toward faithfulness to God and his commands. Small Groups are the ideal environment where we can attempt to experience and demonstrate the relational love that God has poured into our hearts by His Spirit.

True biblical community requires close,

meaningful relationships in the church.

The commands of Christ are designed to be lived-out in the context of a relational community centered on Christ.

For this reason, we have multiple small groups that meet throughout the week.

There are groups that meet:

     Mondays at 6:30 PM

     Tuesdays at 6:30 PM

     Wednesdays at 6:30 PM

Fridays at 5:30 AM (Men Only)
